Mike McLane
Mike grew up in the Southwest USA with systems technology: embracing dial-up modems, IBM PC XTs, and programming in BASIC all by the age of 8. From CompUSA to IBM and from GlobalCrossing to GoDaddy: Mike has made his rounds over the last 2 decades in the tech industry. Mike's professional experience spans multiple roles: tier-1 network troubleshooting, system administration, software development, and systems engineering. These days Mike uses his range of experiences as a hosting performance engineer at a large web hosting provider. He researches solutions to remove performance bottlenecks relevant to web page serving through a repeatable process of performance measurement, deep data evaluation, and continuous improvement. Mike co-wrote GoDaddy's OCSP responder and has contributed back to the ASF to improve mod_fcgid performance. He helps answer questions on #httpd and #centos on FreeNode and is a member of the IEEE.
